Pride Whanganui Trust was founded by Christina Emery who remains our current chairperson of the Trust in , and became a registered charity in CC Pride Whanganui is now run by our manager Zenica Mann, along with the support of the Trustees and our incredible team of volunteers. For the second time in the lifetimes of many, Whanganui is attracting rainbow people from outside the city to join its enduring and growing community. Wanganui is continuing to embrace everything new in technology, politics, and commerce. Focused on agriculture as its main source of revenue, the region has one of the best soils in the world for growing pears of different varieties. Despite being a predominantly farmer community, the town has a very welcoming and accepting crowd that does not shy away from openly supporting people with unorthodox sexualities.
